The U1500 is designed for heavy-duty machining of large parts, up to 16,000 kg. Its milling performance is based on 42 kW of power and 1636 Nm of torque. The transverse Y-axis ballscrew features an internal oil cooling system to guarantee high precision.
The 8-sided cylinder, with 4 ground and 4 shim paths, ensures perfect movement and geometric precision. The saddle features an 1860 mm/2010 mm guideway to prevent the cylinder from dropping during maximum transverse strokes. The monolithic, symmetrical column and cylinder ensure high rigidity.
INA steel raceways and INA roller shoes, combined with turcite guides, reduce “stick-slip” and enable smooth vertical movement, preventing saddle deflection. The LM ball-screw support system with vibration absorber ensures vibration-free operation and reduces noise, while maintaining precision.
