The U1350 is designed for heavy-duty machining of large workpieces weighing up to 16,000 kg. Its milling performance is based on 42 kW of power and 1636 Nm of torque. To ensure high precision, the Y-axis ballscrew is equipped with an internal oil cooling system.
The machine uses an 8-sided cylinder with 4 ground and 4 shim paths to ensure perfect movement and geometrical precision during the critical maximum transverse stroke of the Y axis. The monolithic, symmetrical column guarantees high performance in terms of rigidity, contributing to geometric precision.
INA steel raceways and INA roller shoes with 3 turcite guideways and 1 combination guideway reduce “stick-slip” and promote smooth vertical movement, preventing saddle deviation during the critical maximum Y-axis transverse travel.
The LM ball-screw support system with vibration absorber enables vibration-free operation, reduces noise and maintains distortion-free precision.
